About this product

FNC Coating Mix® is a specially formulated serum-free tissue culture reagent containing fibronectin collagen and albumin that is used to enhance the attachment of adherent cells to plastic flasks or microplates. The unique formula creates an extracellular matrix that dramatically increases the rate of cell attachment to any plastic substratum. The matrix accelerates monolayer formation especially when fastidious cell types such as human prostrate and breast epithelial cells are being propagated. Mammalian cell cultures will attach and grow more effectively on FNC-coated plastic surfaces when cultured in the appropriate serum-free medium. AthenaES® offers several different serum-free media that when used in conjunction with FNC Coating Mix® increase the growth of cell cultures dramatically.

Key Features

Enhanced Cell Attachment → Improves attachment of adherent mammalian cells to plastic culture surfaces.

Serum-Free Coating Reagent → Designed for cell culture workflows using appropriate serum-free culture media.

Extracellular Matrix Components → Contains fibronectin, collagen and albumin to provide a cell-compatible coated surface.

Ready-to-Use Formulation → Supplied as a liquid coating reagent for convenient preparation of culture surfaces.

Supports Monolayer Formation → Promotes efficient cell attachment and monolayer development in suitable adherent cell culture systems.

Suitable for Fastidious Cell Types → Particularly useful for adherent cells that require enhanced substrate attachment, including certain epithelial cell cultures.

Typical Coating Workflow For compatible cell culture applications : 1.
